Mahindra XUV5OO petrol caught testing

Some very interesting update.
After speculating for long, a test mule has finally been spotted of the Mahindra XUV5OO which is powered by a petrol engine.
‘Petrol only’ sticker slapped on the fuel lid is a clear giveaway that there is a gasoline engine under the hood.
Mahindra recently introduced the facelift model of the XUV5OO in India and this petrol powered variant could still be some time away.
India’s largest utility car manufacturer & selling all models primarily powered by diesel engines, this move towards petrol-powered model is due to the reducing price gap between petrol & diesel. Another reason for this is that in the export markets, there is a sizeable demand for gasoline engines.
Powering the XUV5OO petrol could be a 1.6L motor jointly developed along with Ssangyong.
Just like the diesel-powered model, the XUV petrol will also be loaded with features.
