Next-gen Hyundai Elantra interior sketch revealed

Hyundai continues to reveal teaser sketches of their next-generation Elantra sedan which is expected to make a global debut soon.
This time, a sketch of the interiors has been revealed which hints at a more German design language.
Sketch reveals:
  • Flat dashboard top
  • Touchscreen infotainment system
  • Climate control
  • Silver accents running across the dashboard
  • Chrome accents for AC vents
  • Short gear knob
  • 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel
  • Engine start / stop button
  • Black leather seats
  • Centre armrest
  • 2 cupholders
  • Chrome / silver accents on doorpads
The new interiors are very different compared to the current model, and look very classy.
There are not much details available at the moment about the technical specifications, but the new Elantra is rumoured to get a 1.6L turbo-petrol motor producing 175 BHP of power matched to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. A new 1.7L turbo-diesel motor is also being considered.
Expect the new Elantra to be revealed to the Indian audience at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.
