Tata Hexa now a frequent sight on the streets

The Tata Aria was without any doubt one of the biggest flops introduced by the brand. Now, to rectify this, Tata has started working on the Hexa crossover which is expected to be launched in the coming months, mostly by early 2016.
The new Hexa will replace the Aria in the Indian market.
Test vehicles have now become a frequent sight on the streets and the Hexa is spotted running with heavy camouflage.
The Hexa measures 4,764mm in length, 1,895mm in width, 1,780mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,850mm. Also, the Hexa, as the name suggests is a 6-seater crossover & not a 7-seater.
Hexa will be powered by a 2.2L Varicor diesel engine producing 154 BHP of power and 400 Nm of torque. There is also a twin-turbo version in the pipeline which could generate up to 175 BHP of power. Engine will be either matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed automatic gearbox sourced from General Motors.
Tata Motors has outsourced the manufacturing feasibility to LG – Korea, along with the associated tooling.
