Fiat planning Abarth Linea for India

Fiat is now planning to introduce an Abarth version of the Linea sedan in India.
Fiat recently revealed the Abarth Punto Evo in India and adapting the Linea to the same 145 BHP engine won’t be difficult. Considering how much the potential customers are excited about the Abarth brand, Fiat is now trying to attract a larger audience to their showrooms with this performance-spec models. Sadly, the regular Fiat models failed to wow the Indian audience for a long time now.
Powering Abarth Linea will be a 1.4L, turbocharged, T-Jet, 4-cylinder petrol motor producing 145 BHP of power and over 200 Nm of torque matched to a manual gearbox. Other important mechanical change is the addition of disc brakes on all four wheels. Suspension setup has also been made a bit stiff for better handling and ABS + dual airbags will be offered as standard.
Expected exterior changes:
  • 16″ Scorpion Claw Abarth alloy wheels
  • Abarth logo at the front & back
  • Chrome exhaust tip
  • Abarth body decals
  • T-Jet badge
  • Side skirts
  • Contrast painted ORVM
  • Contrast painted rear spoiler
  • Sporty front bumper with contrast painted strip in the air dam
  • Contrast painted strip in the front grille
  • Sporty rear bumper with contrast painted strip
  • 195/55/R16 Apollo tyres
Expected interior changes:
  • Abarth badge on the steering
  • Aluminium ABC pedals
  • Fabric seats with contrast stitching
Enthusiasts who wanted to own a punchy mid-size sedan will surely be happy after hearing about this development.
