Mercedes-Benz plans to locally assemble S500 Maybach in India?

So, it is a known fact that Mercedes-Benz will drive in the uber luxurious Maybach brand in India very soon.
However, the biggest news which now erupts on the internet is that the Mercedes-Maybach S500 has been imported to India via CKD kits.
The Maybach will be the flagship sub brand for Mercedes-Benz and will only sell in limited numbers. However, CKD assembly might result in very, very competitive pricing considering what’s on offer.
Based on the W222 S-Class, the Mercedes-Maybach S500 gets plenty of visible changes inside-out.
The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is longer by 20mm than the regular S-Class and measures 5,453mm in length and has a wheelbase of 3,365mm. All the benefits of the increased length do directly to the rear passengers in the form of extra available room. At the back, this luxury limousine gets two individual, electrically adjustable seats with a host of features. On the outside, the Maybach S-Class sports a Maybach badge at the back, a Maybach logo on the rear quarter panel, chrome B-pillar, different alloy wheels, new front grille, etc.
The S500 is powered by a 4.6L, V8 motor producing 455 BHP of power and 700 Nm of torque. Engine is mated to a world-first 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 11.23 kmpl.
If Mercedes-Benz does pull out CKD assembly for this limousine, it will be quite commendable.
