Next-gen Nissan Micra to be exported from India

Sources reveal that the next-generation Nissan Micra will be built in India and exported to Africa & Middle East.
Previously, it was revealed that the European-spec Nissan Micra will no longer be built at the Chennai facility in India and will be moved to Renault’s plant in Flins, France.
The Nissan Sway concept which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show gives us a hint at what the new Micra could look like. The new Micra will fight with the likes of Volkswagen polo & Hyundai Elite i20.
While the European model will be built around the CMF platform, the Indian-spec could get a modified V-platform to achieve cost benefits. However, if Nissan does manage to keep costs under check, the new Micra could be underpinned by a CMF-B platform.
Nissan’s core focus for the next-gen Micra would be better NVH, good ride comfort, good rear seat comfort & higher fuel efficiency.
Expect the new Micra to make an appearance in concept guise at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo.
