Renault Duster facelift continues testing in India

Renault is planning to introduce the Duster facelift in India in a bid to regain its lost touch in the volumes game. With the Hyundai Creta now in the market, the Renault Duster has been witnessing declining sales in the recent months.
The Duster has been Renault’s bread & butter model for a long time now. Other models such as the Pulse, Scala & Lodgy are struggling in the sales department.
Powering the Duster facelift will be the same powertrains. A 1.5L dCi diesel with 85 PS, 1.5L dCi diesel with 110 PS & a 1.6L petrol with 102 PS. Reports suggest a new 1.2L TCe petrol motor capable of 123.3 BHP could also be introduced. But it is doubtful if this smaller engine would make it to Indian shores.
The new Duster will continue with 4×4 & 4×2 layout.
Changes expected:
  • New front fascia
  • New interior trim
  • New dashboard
  • New alloy wheels
  • New LED tail lamp
  • New headlamp
  • New rear bumper
  • New roof rails
